Heinrich Klassen

BIOGRAPHY

In 1979, Heinrich Klassen graduated from the Novosibirsk State Glinka Conservatory with a diploma as a concert pianist and piano accompanist.

His artistic career began during his studies. As a soloist, he regularly gave concerts in his hometown of Karaganda. In 1976, while still a student, he played W. A. Mozart’s Piano Concerto in G major with the Novosibirsk State Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Prof. Arnold Katz.

His 8 years of work as an accompanist and piano accompanist at the Glinka Conservatory included numerous performances in many places in the music metropolis of Novosibirsk. At this time he won the competition at the conservatory as a piano accompanist.

A teaching position as a piano teacher took him to the Vladivostok Music Academy. During his later work with the Novosibirsk State Philharmonic, he performed in various Russian cities such as Omsk, Tomsk, Kiev and Moscow. Radio, television and sound recordings followed.

Heinrich Klassen has lived in Germany since 1990. Here he continued his concert activities as a soloist, duo partner and song accompanist. Numerous reviews document his busy concert activities at various locations at home and abroad. From 1992 to 2000 he taught piano at the Ravensburg and Weinsberg music schools.

In 1995 he founded a music publishing company under his name and has since published his own compositions and works by other contemporary composers. The compositions he wrote are used in music education in many music schools around the world. His piano compositions have been performed at various international competitions and have now achieved international recognition. Some of his compositions were even performed at Carnegie Hall in New York.

His compositions include:

“Musical Sketches” (24 compositions for piano solo in two volumes and one CD),

“Piano Pieces”, Volume 1 (30 compositions for piano for 2, 4 and 10 hands),

“Piano Pieces”, Volume 2 (25 compositions for piano 2 and 4 hands),

“Piano Pieces”, Volume 3 (29 compositions for piano 2, 4, 6 and 10 hands),

“Lyrical Waltzes and Others” (12 compositions for piano solo),

“Waltz” for violin and piano,

“Elegy” for trombone and piano

“Ave Maria” for soloists and orchestra and others.

His publishing program also includes the textbook “Scale? No problem!”

Heinrich Klassen currently teaches piano at the FunTastico music school in Weinsberg. As a dedicated piano teacher, he passes on his skills to his students. Some of them have won prizes in regional and national competitions, others are studying music.

He is also the conductor of three choirs in Neckarsulm.
